Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry. The four member band has been kicking it
for just about 20 years. It was in November of 1980 U2 played there first
US show at the Ritz in New York. Boy, released in October
of 1980 didn't make the charts, but the record turned some heads and lead to
October in October of 1981. The band toured awhile before releasing their
first number one alblum, War in March of 1983. The alblum contained hits that
are still on radio today, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Two Hearts Beat as One, and New Years Day,
In October of 1984, The Unforgetable Fire was released. The rest is pretty
much history. The "Fire" reached number one on the charts, and propelled U2 into
history. U2 released The Joshua Tree in 1987 and were
considered the biggest band in the states and overseas.
